I’m not a great blog writer in the way that people use blogs as online diaries, but it seems to me that a lot of people out there have a presence on the web somewhere. So since I have had a website for some time, I’ve decided that a blog is now the order of the day. As for my comments…..well nobody wants to know what I had for lunch or dinner, whether or not I’ve had a bad day at the office, or other such mundane things. So I’m just going to write down what goes through my mind when some event triggers off my thought process, and I apologise in advance if I do wander off topic into bland country. It’s odd to think that rising from a disturbed sleep, bloggers (and people in general) go over to the computer, switch on and starting chatting to people they’ve never met but somehow know. I can honestly call some people I chat with online, friends—even though I have very little information about them. Why is this so? Well if I post a picture or a comment in a forum devoted to someone or something that interests me greatly, I get replies! I don’t need to say much—in the case of a picture often nothing at all—because the forum exists for that specific topic. A lot of people on the web know all, if not more, than I do and so the legwork normally required of any type of relationship has been done already. So when I watch a film or a tv series and search for sites that go into more detail and I get extra enjoyment from reading how others have seen the same thing and what they noticed. Some views are quite extraordinary, some are just effusive (heavily so at times), some go to the borders of good taste—really that simply means respect. But they all add to my enjoyment of the film and the people involved in it. In some cases I watch with a more enlightened view or from an interpretation that I had not previously considered. And this of course extends to any topic that I am interested in. So if any passer by comes upon this site and would like to add their comments I shall be interested to know what they have to say. A lot more of who I am can be ascertained from my website www.pauls-room.com where you can also hear my voice—which I hope to add here with other stuff as well.
